ABOUT ME

Six different expressions of a man wearing glasses and a patterned sweater, arranged in two rows of three against a white background.

Bishop is attracted to interesting ideas, usually involving science. He followed his interests to medical school, but felt his creativity hemmed in by the profession. Then, he taught high school science, where he designed courses and embraced immersive storytelling. Next, narrative audio caught his ear.

Armed with a microphone, he gathered ideas and helped tell stories at The Washington Post until it was clear he needed to write for the newsroom. He loved his creative collaborators at The Post but now, he’s pursuing his best ideas, independently.
